The WILUP team, led by Dr. Rex Victor Cruz, conducted a meeting with the representatives from PGLU of Laguna on February 8, 2023, at the Government Office Extension Hectan, Calamba. The representatives of PGLU who attended the meeting were provincial administrator Atty. Dulce Rebanal and provincial agriculturist Marlon Tobias.  The objective of this meeting was to introduce the R2R Framework to the PGLU for its potential incorporation into their land use plans.

Dr. Cruz presented the WILUP project to the PLGU, highlighting how the R2R Framework can catalyze sustainable development in the province when included in its planning process, particularly in the creation of the Provincial Physical Development Framework Plan. He highlighted that if the PDPFP will be drafted using Ridge-to-reef framework and the municipalities will base their CLUPs from the zoning in the PDPFP, the CLUPs will automatically be Ridge-to-reef approach thus following the HLURB Guidelines. 

Atty. Rebanal expressed her support for the WILUP project and will connect the project with the Provincial Development Council so that the project be presented to the council including the proposal for the ridge-to-reef PDPFP Piloting. Before the meeting ended, the WILUP team agreed on the suggestion of Atty. Rebanal for her team to study the draft MOA for the said proposal.
